Broken Reality

After the Wolf

Pandemic. Life is not the same.  We are all isolated. Numb. This body of work seeks to capture that sense of isolation. The vibrancy of the red slip speaks of a former world.  Its scantiness reveals the current fragility of our existence.  Our homes, now our safety pods, have walled us off from community.  The tools of our working life stilled or forever changed. Nature offers respite but when venturing out we are guarded expecting the wolf to emerge from the darken forest.

I use the camera to weave these stories of darkness and simultaneous beauty in this surreal world of Covid 19 we now live in. This slip is symbolic of the drama unfolding each day as we experience the increasing prevalence of death.  I am interested in creating stories of our new broken reality.
