Outside the Sketchbook
In 2022 I started to expand my sketchbook work onto single sheets of Arches oil paper. These collage pieces are remnants from my cold wax and oil paintings in process. I use various papers as a way to deconstruct my paintings, creating monotones from the wet paint. From these piles of painted papers I create abstracted landscapes.
