Every summer we head to Maine. This year we rented for two months - a first. I was a bee to set up my studio in the basement. Family and friends thought I was crazy to be on the Maine coast and painting in a basement. Maybe I was but I gave up plein air some years a go. Here I had views of the water, could watch the tides and escape the winds and bugs.
